Board Governance Handbook (FQHC) — Canva Design & Publication

I designed and produced a streamlined Board Governance Handbook for this Federally Qualified Health Center, turning dense policy documents into a clear, visually organized resource for board members. Using Canva, I created a clean layout with branded colors, typography, and custom section dividers that made the content easy to navigate.

I handled the entire production process—from structuring the document and editing content flow to finalizing print-ready and digital files. The finished handbook became an essential onboarding and reference tool for the board, showcasing my ability to blend graphic design, information organization, and effective communication into a polished, professional publication.

50th Anniversary Celebration

As Event Producer for T.H.E. Health and Wellness Centers’ 50th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon in February 2024, I helped orchestrate a milestone event that honored the organization’s history and strengthened relationships with key stakeholders. I secured the attendance of two U.S. Representatives, conducted interviews to support meaningful storytelling between past and current leadership, and managed budget oversight for the contracted event planner to ensure a high-quality experience. I coordinated the full VIP guest list, developed the program and run of show, prepared talking points for speakers, and arranged professional photography to capture and elevate the organization’s legacy. In the early months of the pandemic, when COVID-19 misinformation was spreading quickly and trust in public health guidance was strained, I produced a virtual panel for the KJLH Women’s Health Expo featuring T.H.E.’s women-of-color health professionals. Using data on what women were seeking most, I shaped the session theme, developed clear and culturally relevant questions, and coordinated all scheduling and preparation for our four panelists. I also worked closely with the KJLH team to ensure a smooth production and deliver a conversation that felt accessible, trustworthy, and grounded in the lived experiences of the communities we aimed to reach.
